Robbinsdale Area Schools

About Us

Welcome to FAIR School Crystal, serving grades 6-8 in a middle school located in one of the coolest buildings ever. We educate through STEAM: Science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Together, the arts and STEM provide nearly limitless opportunities to develop future-focused skills like creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration.

At FAIR School Crystal, we are building a culture that recognizes the complexity of real-world problems, whose solutions often involve a mix of disciplines, perspectives, and approaches.

FAIR Crystal continues the STEAM magnet programming of FAIR Elementary School Pilgrim Lane and SEA (School for Engineering and Arts) Elementary. Students from each K-5 school bring different strengths and backgrounds to FAIR Crystal, learning with and from each other in the vital years between childhood and adolescence.

At FAIR School Crystal, interdisciplinary education allows students to integrate skills, concepts, and ways of learning. The colorful and dynamic physical forms of the school – the auditorium railings, for example, are based on the Fibonacci sequence – offer bright and joyful environments for dance, music, media, technology and more.

Students value our focus on relationships, which allows individual identities to flourish as we work together in a judgment-free zone. We invite you to come to our school and be respected for who you are, and who you are becoming.

FAIR Crystal inspires curiosity and a spirit of inquiry, empowering students to ask thought-provoking questions that promote creativity and exploration. As our STEAM middle school evolves, expect to see even more projects that directly involve and benefit the neighborhood.
