25-26 ACCESS Testing

WIDA ACCESS Testing for ELL Students

Federal and state laws require testing of English language learners (ELL) each year.  In Minnesota, ELL students take the “WIDA ACCESS” test, which measures student’s abilities in reading, writing, understanding English and speaking English. This test measures how well students can use English in the classroom. The process of learning English takes time; students move along this process at different rates.

The WIDA ACCESS test will be given at FAIR Crystal at the start of March (03/02/26 - 03/09/26).  For our students in grades 6 - 8, the test is taken using a computer.
